Alpine Adventure 2008
Sgt Coombes' write the following:
"Alpine Adventure '08 is bar far the best value-for-money and the greatest camp offered by the ATC. This year was my second time on the trip and I can safely say it gets better every year. There's not many places you can get 6 days skiing for a shade over £400! The best part of the camp is the people you meet and the friends that you make from across the country. I am not a hugely confident skier but I learnt so much over the week, with over a small amount of snow burn to show for it! Even after leaving the slopes everyday the fun never stops. From swimming at the world's most awesome pool to Bavarian leg wrestling, there's not a moment of boredom. Even the long coach journey each way is a blast, although we all put on pounds with all the sweets people bring! All in all going on Alpine Adventure was the best thing I've done so far, with it only likely to be topped by next years trip, I would definitely recommend it to everyone!"
Fg Off Rogers, Cpl Phillips, FS Kent, Sgt Atkinson, Cpl Presland and Sgt Coombes take to the slopes
The Bavarian scenery
Luckily, Sgt Coombes is the only cadet on the trip choosing to wear pink board shorts...this made it easier to identify the crumpled lump!
Sgt Atkinson before...and after, it was always going to happen!
