Remembrance Parade

Every year to mark the armistice of World War One and fallen soliders of past and present conflicts, Eastleigh's Royal British Legion, led by Norman Brown MBE, organise a parade through Eastleigh town centre, followed by a service of remembrance at the War Memorial. This is one of the Squadron's core events that every cadet is expected to attend. The assembled units march through the town before a service is held at the memorial, on Leigh Road Park, where wreaths are laid by those in attendance. Once respects have been paid, the event culminates in a march past the Mayor and dignitaries, to whom a salute is given.

Eastleigh Squadron's Wreath

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old
Age shall not weary them, nor the years contemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
